Thanks to the fact that, unlike the last several years on here, there are no flame-baiters around to keep minor disagreements going, until they become heated arguments, this was settled peaceably, and before it could get out of hand. And it was settled without moderator involvement. To everyone's credit.

Okay, from what I can gather there's no actual conflict, so I'm good here.

It is obvious that there is a conflict of opinions and I am not trying to start anything. As this has all been happening on my profile, I too have the right to reply; and as I was trying to in my previous comment I respectfully ask that the discussion ends.

Since my comment was directly addressed, I have a right to respond.

a) I didn't say anything about a "rule" (new or otherwise) regarding site comments;

b) it is a commonly-accepted (and often-enforced) standard that frequent comments (of a generally silly or spammish nature) which spam up the site are not allowed...that they should be handled privately between members.

Now, I am not trying to tell you what you should or shouldn't do. And, for the record, my previous statement about the mods taking care of it was not meant to even suggest that they be persuaded (or asked) to warn or ban anyone (just throwing that out there right now). You obviously misunderstood. I made an observation, and was also helping DT to understand what the situation was, and was agreeing with Mighty. Unless you have further debate on this matter, I believe the discussion is now on equal footing. I suggest we should leave it there rather than turning it into an unpleasant argument, which nobody wants.

I wasn't aware that there was a new rule that explicitly stated that commenting on other users profiles was prohibited and required action from mods. In reviewing the established rules in use on this site, I saw nothing that would be questionable in the context of the comments shared between myself and my friend.

Additionally, by your own logic in your comment, essentially all of these comments made on my profile take away from the "serious comments" on fan creations so there's no need to comment on my profile beyond this.
