Prentice Cooper State Forest, 10 miles west of Chattanooga, Tennessee  

In one of many trees on a tree-covered hill in the bend of the winding Tennessee River, there was a nest in which was a family of eagles. But not just any eagle, the citically endangered Red-tailed eagle. These birds were the only remainders of the species left on the planet. But enough about that. Let's get to the story.

     Among the three chicks in the nest along with the parents was the main character of the story, Esperance.

"Mom, Ket's bothering me again!"

"Cut it out, you two.", said their mother, laughing a bit. Turning to her mate, she said, smiling, "Precious, aren't they?
