Most people say he was "part wolf" because they base what they "know"
off of the freakin' cartoon. That part wolf thing is a terrible myth
created by the cartoon script and storyline, and now which has been
perpetrated and maintained by those who seem to think that the cartoon
presents the history FACTUALLY. It does not. Little of the Balto
cartoon has anything to do with what really happened back in 1925 in
and outside of Nome.

True story
Balto was born in, leonard seppala's kennels. Born
anywere from 1919-1922. His birth date is unkown. Its rumor that,
seppala was quated saying balto was 6 years old during the seurm run.
That would of placed his birthday at, 1919. Leonard seppala only bred
pur husky's. Balto never was part wolf. He for one, does not even look
like one.
