I just got my own TLK2 dvd anii was wondering -did zira ever actually like Kovu and Vitani.

She was upset about Nuka dying but she never seemd to show any real affection for Kovu and Vitani.
When Vitani changed sides he said "You will die too" and she hit Kovu after nuka was killed.
Also she pushed Kovu as a cub towards simba saying "here's your pound of meat"

I think she just used them personally

It's my belief that Zira just used Vitani,and Kovu,and excluded Nuka.

She didn't appear to love Nuka before he died, but when he did, she was upset about it. Get it?

Zira was too busy plotting her revenge to care much about Kovu or Vitani, but if they died like Nuka did she would be rather sad over it. So yes, she did care, but it only came out at the last minute.

i picked Liked but used mainly, because at the end of the 2nd film she had no thoughts about moving to pride rock with simba and the others she just wanted to rule nothing eles mattered to her. Even when Kiara tryed to save her...

I think Zira just used Kovu to become queen again. SHE'S EVIL!!!

I think she liked Kovu a bit and just used Vitani.

She saw Kovu as her main strength, but when he refused to go after Simba and then Nuka did, I think she realised that she had wasted her time on Kovu. Kovu was more mentally and physically stable than Nuka but had no desire to kill Simba, and so after this I think Zira hated him and thought that he used her. I don't think she really cared about Vitani until the war when Zira realised Vitani was her only main strength, the only thing she could use. But I think Vitani cared about her brother Kovu (who had been her friend) more than her mother Zira (who had not been very loving) and realised she was wrong after what Kiara said.

I think she just used Kovu and Vitani.

I think that deep down she had some feelings for Kovu, but Vitani meant nothing to her.

I think tthat she loved Kovu as she was her special 'chosen' cub and looked so much like her beloved Scar, but that she mainly used Vitani as she was'nt going to be especially helpfull in her campain. Also in my version in canon, she is'nt even her cub (she's her grandaughter) so she dos'nt have much emotionalo attachment.

well i believe she loved them all just in weird ways. When you look at the movie when she was singing to Kovu, there was a motherly love there all over her face. even thought she was rough with him, I think it's just she didn't know how to be Gentle like nala and most mothers. as for Vitani I also believe thre was some love there because, when Vitani sided with Kiara and Kovu at the end seh was upset but it wasn't "i'm lossing my weapon or army" kind of Upset, it was like she was loosing a child. I believe she loved nuka as well, not ony because she was SO upset when he died but because she actually keept him for the most part away from the war, she gave him little bit jobs that he could not get hurt doing. if anything i would say Vitani was the least loved and was being used the most. because that love for Kovu was their in Zira because he reminded her so much of Scar and Nuka kinda looked like scar aswell plus he was the first born. Also Zira was not as over protective of Vitani were was she was with her two sons.
