Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is a manga written by Yoshihiro Takahashi that tells the story of a silver brindle Akita named Gin who will join a pack of wild dogs whose goal is to defeat a giant monster bear Akakabuto that is terrorizing the mountains of of Ou. In his journey across Japan Gin will meet strong allies and enemies who will make him learn, mature and become a great future leader.
Yoshihiro Takahashi's manga has a continuation about Gin's son, Weed, that was also adapted for anime series, Ginga Densetsu Weed.
