TaleSpin was a top Disney show, a unique and creative masterpiece, and the first one created specifically for the popular Disney Afternoon programming block. (We'd like to kindly thank you for the TaleSpin vinylmations you released, and remind you it sold out in less than 6 hours!!!) We, the undersigned, would like to see Disney/Marvel release new TaleSpin adventures!

It hits the nostalgia factor for 20 and 30-somethings, who are now beginning to raise families of their own. It makes sense to foster both groups for current and future sales. If you have the rights to these shows, and you do, and there exists a market out there (the success of the Darkwing Duck comic especially indicates that the comics resonate with these folks), then it's a sensible decision to produce the comics and entertain two generations at once while fostering further interest in the Disney name. As a decade-old shareholder, I urge you to consider this. |

The time period and setting was fantastic, as was the reimagining of all the old characters to fit it. Shere Khan and Don Karnage are two of my most beloved characters that disney ever produced, up there with David Xanatos. They really made for fantastic story telling tools that I would later come to realize would influence greatly the way I would view literature, enjoying more the in depth nature of these villains. Without them and the likes of the Thembrians, Baloo and the crew would not nearly have been so interesting. With the advances and leeway that storytelling has progressed today, I feel that if the original feel was preserved, new and old fans alike could fall in love with such a detailed setting... especially compared to some of the shallow comics that are produced these days. I am sure there are countless schemes that Khan Industries or the air pirates or some hidden facet of world left to be explored and expanded upon, especially without the constraint of 20 minutes. |
